Callan wins Gold in Tonga for Australia in Archery

Outback Sleepers Australia - Friday, April 29, 2016

Callan is our son and we are proud to say he has represented Australia in Tonga and New Zealand for Archery in April.

Callan's account of his experience: After 3 weeks being away shooting in two countries, it was one of my best experiences shooting as part of two Australian teams. Coming away from the Oceania Championships with a gold in the 1440, and a bronze in the individual matchplay. It was amazing meeting new people.

The Trans-Tasman for 2016 is finished. Great meeting everyone from New Zealand. Shot well in the 1440 with a new personal best. The matchplay didn't go as planned but still only missed out by 3 points. Overall it was good, just missing out on bronze by a couple of points. Overall Australia took out the Trans-Tasman trophy.

A lot of help from my amazing coach James Beatty, thank you.

Thank also to my sponsors #‎archerysuppliesaustralia‬, and big help from Benjamin Sitar from #‎XSWings‬ and Ken Moylan getting me some great Slick Strings. And a very big thank you to Leanne and Michael Ineson for letting do this and getting me up to Tonga and New Zealand.
